ART TEACHER, MUSIC TEACHER/ FRENCH TEACHER/SPANISH TEACHER/MANDARIN TEACHER/BILINGUAL EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Foreign Languages/Art/Music, dynamic teachers to teach a full range of foreign languages, music and art classes. Classes are for children (ages 0 -12 years) and include Foreign Languages, Art and Music classes.
Applicants must enjoy children, be comfortable interacting with adults and have the ability to bring enthusiasm and creativity to each class. Teachers and students are creative, moving around and active! Our program is fun and inventive and you should be too!
Requirements you MUST HAVE for the position:
Native speaker or Fluent in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Mandarin
Experience as Preschool Teacher or any early childhood work experience OR language, art or music teaching experience
Musical and Artistic talents towards working children
Strong group facilitation skills
Playful and engaging teaching style combined with a positive, warm and charismatic personality
Flexible and hard-working & Creative
Not afraid to act "silly" for the sake of a lesson!
Ability to connect with both adults and young children
Teachers must have a natural drive to learn and teach
Reggio Emilia familiarity-a great plus
High level of accountability and integrity
Ability to take direction, but work independently
Ability to get up and down, unaided, from a sitting position on the floor
YOU MUST BE RELIABLE AND BE COMMITTED TO YOUR ASSIGNMENTS!
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
All applicants must pass a background check
All applicants must show proof of their right to work in the US
Other Helpful Qualifications:
Singing, dancing, or theatre experience: Children or Adult
Experience teaching young children, desirable
Candidates with Fluency in any foreign Language are encouraged
Familiar with Reggio Emilia Approach
HOURS & COMPENSATION:
This is a part-time hourly position. Classes are held seven days a week and your teaching schedule can include weekday, weekend or a combination of both, depending on availability. Your total hours will depend on your availability and skill set for each age group. Hours typically range from 10-20 hours per week, but more may be available for the right candidate. Ideal for a student, parent or anyone with a part-time or flexible schedule, however we are seeking long-term employees who would like to make a career of teaching young children in an exceptional environment.
$25-$50/45 min class

Resolve issues on-site, in the moment, with a kind and thoughtful demeanor
Hosting special events and parties
Cleaning classrooms at the end of the day
Recordkeeping, and most important:
Parents and caregivers are an integral part of our classes. The teacher's job is to facilitate parent/caregiver-child activities. So, candidates must be equally at ease directing and engaging adults as they are working with children
